Interview Process
Once a county social worker reviews your home study and feel your family may be a good match for a child, the social worker may contact the agency requesting an interview.
Many interviews begin with phone interview with the county social worker, your adoption social worker, and the adoptive parents. After a phone interview, if a county still feels your family may be a good fit for the child/children, they may request an in-person interview.
It is important to note that all counties, even in Virginia, are different and there is not a set process or timeline for selecting an adoptive family.
